英語の最新情報 ： 岡田武史監督が実況解説―\ ―\「FIFA 08 ワールドクラス サッカー」

　エレクトロニック・アーツから12月20日に発売されるプレイステーション 3／Xbox 360ソフト「FIFA 08 ワールドクラス サッカー」だが、これまでの「FIFA」シリーズでは実況音声も海外版をそのままローカライズしていたが、今作では1から台本を書き起こし、日本向けの日本語実況でゲームが演出されている。

　そして実況で登場するのは、このたび日本代表監督に就任した岡田武史氏とスカパー!やフジテレビなどでのサッカー実況でおなじみの西岡明彦氏。ゲーム中音声のベースは実況西岡氏、解説岡田氏の掛け合いコメントになっており、掛け合い自体を1つの音声ファイルとして持っているため、セリフ自体の掛け違いがなくなったとのこと。

　また、岡田監督が今までもっとも強烈だったアウェイ体験、岡田監督があこがれた選手や、過去に日本でプレイしていた日本人および外
国人選手に関する独自カテゴリー音声といった、英語版音声では存在しない日本独自カテゴリーの音声を収録。日本のサッカーファンが聞いていて楽しい実況、そして思わずニヤリとしてしまう音声が用意されているそうだ。
